Successful candidates will be required to have obtained Garda Clearance before commencing their work experience module.
All students are recommended to have received 3 doses of the Hepatitis B vaccine before commencing their work experience.

The student must spend a minimum of 30 days on work experience placement during the academic year.
€550 fee applies which includes:
Occupational First Aid training,
Manual & Patient Handling training,
Three Uniform Tunics (ceil blue),
€200 Government levy
(exemptions for Medical Card, Grant, BTEI or VTOS)
QQI examination fee not included
All students must wear a uniform in College and on work placement. This consists of a ceil blue (unisex) tunic, navy cardigan or a plain zip up navy fleece (no hoddies), navy trousers, black/navy leather closed flat shoes (laced/velcro) and black/navy socks. A plain white short sleeved tee shirt under the tunic is permitted. Student ID badges must be worn on campus and work placement.
